We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our team in Redlands, California. In this role, you will handle key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards while contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. This position requires strong expertise in accounting principles, general ledger, financial analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and balance sheet accounts.

• Oversee month-end closing processes and ensure timely preparation of financial statements.

• Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.

• Analyze and report on financial statements, identifying trends and discrepancies.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address accounting-related inquiries.

• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.

• Support job costing and construction-related accounting processes.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced accounting staff when needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a senior accounting role with full-cycle accounting responsibilities.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software; familiarity with systems is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups, for financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience in a construction or job costing environment is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration across teams.
