The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring seasonal Starbucks Baristas to join our team at Starbucks in Grand Canyon, Arizona. Opportunities may be available for partial or full season placements. As a Starbucks Barista, you will provide the Starbucks Experience to our guests by delivering prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Hourly wage can average $21.65 / hr (base pay of $15.15 / hr + tips) with top performers earning much more!

What will you do?

• Act with guest service excellence, integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks.
• Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customize for guest preference. 
• Maintain a calm demeanor to keep store operating to standard. 
• Set positive example and assist with new team member training.
• Follow health, safety, sanitation guidelines and operational policies during each shift.

More about you

• Strong customer service and communication with emphasis on listening skills. 
• Comfort in working in an unusually fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to follow recipes and prepare beverages as required. 
• Requires regular attendance and flexibility with schedule.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Physical requirements

• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, grasping with hands and repetitive motions. 
• Ability to remain stationary for long periods. 
• Lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Exposure to, and use of chemicals needed to clean and sanitize equipment, surfaces and areas.
