A mission-driven nonprofit organization in the Miracle Mile area is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This role will be responsible for supporting the accounting function with a focus on billing, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close. The ideal candidate will come from the nonprofit industry and bring strong accounting fundamentals along with excellent attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Handle billing/invoicing and ensure accurate and timely processing Prepare and post journal entries Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Assist with month-end and year-end close Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations Support preparation of financial reports Assist with maintaining accurate records in accordance with nonprofit accounting standards Help with audit support and other accounting-related projects Partner with internal teams to resolve billing and accounting discrepancies Qualifications 2+ years of accounting experience Nonprofit industry experience is required Experience with billing and general ledger accounting Experience with Financial Edge is preferred Strong understanding of reconciliations and month-end close Proficient in Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Experience with financial reporting and audit preparation Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
