Union Beer Distributors is currently looking for a Yard Jockey. We are looking for an energetic individual who posses' a strong work ethic and a strong sense of responsibility to join and contribute to our team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Full-Time Tractor Trailer Yard Shifter
• Drive company vehicles in a safe manner
• Continuous coupling and uncoupling of tractor-trailer and shifting of equipment
• Maneuvering tractor trailer equipment and box trucks into position for overnight outbound operation.
• Maintain the yard independently and efficiently close to occasional truck traffic.
• Communicate regularly with crew members, drivers, and occasionally customers
• Follow OSHA safety standards and wear required PPE
• Daily exposure to the outdoor environment, including odors, loud noises, weather elements, etc.
• May include other "work as directed" activities as assigned

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience as a CDL yard jockey and/or equipment operator required
• This is not an over-the-road driving position, but tractor-trailer driving experience is preferred.
• CDL A (preferred)
• Fluency in English required
• Ability and willingness to work independently for extended hours

Critical Physical Requirements:

• Walking and climbing steps and stairs frequently
• Two-handed lifting, handling, carrying cases from floor to overhead frequently
• Two-handed lifting, handling, carrying quarter barrels and half barrels from floor to 48" frequently
• Pushing and pulling two-wheeled hand trucks with cases on level surfaces frequently
• Pushing and pulling pallet jacks with case and/or barrels on level surfaces on an occasional basis
• Sustained squatting, kneeling, stooping, and bending while moving cases and barrels
