Housekeeping Attendant

Join our team and contribute to creating a memorable experience for our guests as they enjoy the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of upstate South Carolina.

Hotel Domestique | Restaurant 17 is a serene and luxurious destination that combines Old World style with modern design. Our property is a favorite base camp for adventure seekers, offering world-class cycling, golf, fishing, and hiking opportunities. At Restaurant 17, our chef takes classic Italian and Mediterranean favorites to new heights by incorporating locally sourced ingredients.

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain a neat and professional appearance with a properly cleaned uniform.
• Efficiently and effectively clean and maintain guest rooms and public spaces, following property procedures and high standards.
• Handle a variety of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety regulations.
• Greet guests warmly and courteously, ensuring their needs are met.
• Answer basic questions about the property and provide assistance.
• Collaborate with the Housekeeping Team to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest requests, special needs, and complaints professionally.
• Ensure personal and guest safety by following sanitation and handling protocols.
• Notify appropriate personnel of equipment issues or unsafe/unsanitary conditions.
• Manually handle/lift/carry items up to 60 pounds.

Minimum Requirements:

• Eligibility to work in the United States of America.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow verbal directions and workplace safety signage.
• Active listening and observation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.

Abilities Required:

• Frequent walking, bending, balancing, stooping, reaching, pushing, lifting, and repetitive motions.
• Frequent stair climbing.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and conditions.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotating/split-shifts.
• Frequent hand-washing.
• May encounter hazards such as lifting injuries and exposure to unsanitary materials.
