This position will be located at 1730 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO.

Responsibilities - What you'll do

  • Conduct hazardous waste and solid waste compliance inspections and draft applicable documentation.
  • Conduct hazardous waste and solid waste field investigations and draft applicable documentation.
  • Provide technical and compliance assistance regarding hazardous waste and solid waste management law and regulations to the general public and regulated community.
  • Assist with development and implementation of hazardous and solid waste law, regulation and procedures.
Qualifications - All you need for success

To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:
  • Environmental Science: Knowledge of concepts, principles, theories, and methods to protect and improve the quality of the environment and its resources.
  • Technical Credibility: Understands and appropriately applies principles, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies.
  • Analysis and Assessment: Using information technology to access, collect, analyze, maintain, and convey data/information.
Equivalent to those typically gained by:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Science, Geology, Forestry, Soil Science, Ecology, Wildlife Management, Agriculture, Animal Science, Natural Resource Management, Soil Conservation, or a closely related field and 0-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in data analytics is preferred (additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience).
