Duties

• Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, ensuring safe and compliant driving practices across all routes.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary.
• Transport a variety of cargo including flatbed loads, refrigerated items, tankers, and other freight types to designated destinations.
• Secure loads properly on flatbed trailers to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness before each journey.
• Route driving through designated paths, adhering to schedules and optimizing delivery times.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation for compliance purposes.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with proven experience operating tractor-trailers, including flatbeds and refrigerated trailers.
• Demonstrated ability to drive manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently.
• Experience with freight handling, load securing, and equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of different trailer types including flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, and roll-off trucks.
• Strong understanding of route planning and delivery procedures for timely execution.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and clients.
