Job Title:  Groundperson

**We are hiring entry level or experienced ground people with CDL Class A.**  Job training is provided in-house but you must have a CDL.

Requirements:
- Must have CDL class A.
- Must be able to lawfully work in the USA.
- Uphold a positive, forward thinking mindset: Must have a positive attitude toward coworkers, customers and everyone you encounter.
- Must be a proactive problem solver who contributes to a safe and productive day, ultimately leading to completing work ahead of schedule resulting in shorter work days.

- Negativity and dishonesty: Resistant to feedback, disrespectful to co-workers and customers, complaining, drama and gossip.
- Poor Accountability: Not taking accountability for your own actions, blaming others for mistakes, needing constant supervision.
- Unsafe Mindset: Ignoring safety, carelessness, inputing minimal effort, shortcuts and complacency.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drive Class A CDL trucks to and from job sites and designated dump locations throughout the day.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Safely operate chainsaws to cut brush, logs, and sections of larger trees.
• Drag, stage, and feed brush into a wood chipper in a safe and efficient manner.
• Safely operate dump bodies, trailers, and other hauling equipment in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs and comply with all CDL, DOT, and safety requirements.
• Monitor vehicle condition and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Keep vehicles, equipment, and job sites clean, organized, and in proper working order.
• Work closely with crew members to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive job site.

What a normal day looks like:

• Pre-trip vehicle inspections at the shop. Review jobs and driving logistics for the day.
• Arrive at the customers house, establish work plan, prepare the job site for all equipment and operations. (Place yard protection mats, chainsaws, rigging and climbing gear, all trucks and equipment in proper place.)
• Execute the job. (Drag brush when needed, operate chipper, assist climbers and other co-workers, chainsaw work, make sure job site is safe and productive, run the chipper truck and log trucks to appropriate dump sites when needed.)
• Complete job. (Make sure yard is cleaner than when we got there. Load and secure all equipment on trailers and in tool boxes. Dump any material on the way back to the shop. Ensure we are ready for the following work day.)
